1928 vintage Winchester Model 1892 Trapper lever action saddle ring carbine, serial number 994171. 15" round barrel chambered in .44 Winchester Centerfire with flip-up carbine ladder rear sight, blade front, and full-length magazine tube. 2-piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with carbine style buttplate. Comes with ATF exemption letter classifying this carbine as a Curio & Relic firearm not subject to the National Firearms Act because of its scarcity and age, as well as its considerable interest among collectors. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finishes turned to an even brown patina. Stock and forearm are excellent, retaining a vast majority of their original finishes with handling marks throughout and a small chip at forearm tip on left side. Action works correctly when cycled by hand. Bore is bright with sharp rifling.
