High condition Colt New Service double action revolver. Made 1909. Company address and patent dates marked on top of the barrel. Left side of the barrel is marked "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT". Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. "VP" proof on the top left of the trigger guard. Matching serials on the frame and crane. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and u-notch rear. Factory high polish finish. Smooth face trigger with a checkered hammer. Original checkered hard rubber grips. Original lanyard ring still present. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with some light wear and scratches. Grips are solid with some discoloration and wear. Bore is lightly frosted, but rifling is very good overall. Hammer and cylinder are tight. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine.
