Circa 1970. Manufactured in Italy by Ivo Fabbri, this shotgun made by one of the finest manufacturers in the world and was a custom made-to-order piece. This extraordinary gun with its case colored sidelock action has been built with two sets of blued chopper lump 29" "BOHLER STEEL" barrels. Top of left barrels read "ARMI FABBRI. BRESCIA. MADE IN ITALY". Top of right barrels are lightly engraved reading "MADE ESPECIALLY FOR "LARRY SHERIN". Bottom of right barrel is engraved ".SUPER BLITZ." and "KG1.350". Both barrels are stamped "18.5". Barrel flats are stamped with the guns serial number "E 421" and with appropriate Italian date code and proof markings. Barrels are fit with ejectors, flat top fine filed matte tapered rib. Ribs with round steel front bead sight. Ribs are also numbered "1" and "2" at breech in gold. Chokes in (A/1) are Improved Modified and Improved Cylinder as chokes in (B/2) are Full and Modified. The case colored sidelock action with fine rose bouquets and scroll engraving by "F. Iora Inc.". Bottom action is also finely engraved "FABBRI BRESCIA". The masterfully crafted sidelock action with cocking indicators has gas escapes on breech face and water table is stamped "I. FABBRI", "E 421" and "TIPO PICCONE" for model and with Italian proof markings. Blued engraved top lever with checkered thumbpiece and checkered safety slide. Gun is non-auto safe. Action is built with the well-known and functional "FABBRI" blued single inertia trigger. Trigger is protected by a blued trigger guard with matched rose bouquet and scroll engraving. The European walnut reddish-brown stock with 2-panel fine checkered pistol grip, vacant gold oval for initials is finished with a brown Decelerator pad. Matched grained, checkered and colored beavertail forend is built with an Anson styled forend release with blued engraved iron metal and also with a gold inlay of pigeon at base. Gun is housed in a leather case with certificates and warranty. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels with 95% original blue remaining with some forend rub. Action is mechanically sound. Stock good with some handling marks. Forend also good with some very light handling marks. Very nice game gun.
