Unusual German Horizontal Drilling with two sets of barrels and a unique trigger system made in Bonn, Germany prior to World War II by Emil Martin. Martin was known before the war as having made guns for Kaiser Wilhelm II. First set of blued barrels is marked "PRIMA KRUPPSCHER" and "GUSS STAHL" with concave rib marked "EMIL R. MARTIN KUNSTRUCHSENMACHER BONN A/PHN". Barrels are proofed and are in 16 gauge with 9.3x72R rifle between them with extractor and rifle sights with engraved doll's head rib extension. Second set of barrels has blued "BOHLER RASANT" marked shotgun barrels and "BOHLER SUPER BLITZ" marked rifle barrel with Austrian "NPF" Nitro proofs. These are proofs from Ferlach, Austria. Second set has smooth concave rib with rifle sights, 2 16 gauge shotgun barrels with .30-30 Winchester rifle barrel in between, engraved doll's head rib extension and extractor. The second set was possibly made later by an unknown Ferlach Austrian gunsmith. Gun has coin finish full coverage game scene and oak leaf engraving on a full sidelock hammerless action with glass cocking indicator windows (2 on left, 1 on the right). Action has top tang safety with unusual 3 nickel-plated trigger set and engraved heart-shaped oak leaf engraved trigger guard. European walnut checkered pistol grip stock with Roman nose comb, cheekpiece, and hard rubber grip cap and buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with Deeley-style latch release. CONDITION: 95% plus blue on barrels with 95% coin finish with sharp engraving except on tang wear points. Stock has been cleaned with some light handling and usage marks. Excellent bores and mechanics. A super unique one-of-a-kind set.
