1906 vintage Colt 1877 Lightning double action revolver, serial number 161758. 5" round barrel chambered in .38 Colt with 2 line Colt Hartford, CT barrel address, early half moon half inch front sight, and frame notch rear. "Donut" ejector rod head with short center pin. Barrel and cylinder are custom engraved with scrolls on a punchdot background. Barrel and cylinder are from an earlier 1880s vintage gun. Two piece checkered gutta percha grips featuring a Rampant Colt in an oval on either side. Complete with a period "Mexican Loop" style leather holster. CONDITION: Good, as partially refinished (possibly at time of engraving) on barrel and cylinder with scattered areas of pitting and handling marks throughout. Frame retains traces of original case colors with pitting throughout. Grips are very good with wear throughout but are strong with no major cracks. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand in both single and double action but is beginning to stick. Bore is frosted with visible rifling.
