Contemporary speckled calf gilt, coat-of-arms of the Holy Roman Emperor on the front and arms of the Count of Flanders on the back cover (chipped at spine ends with some loss, some wear at edges and corners). Provenance : Baron Horace de Landau (1824-1903, bookplate). A description of the inauguration of Maria Theresa, Archduchess of Austria and Holy Roman Empress, as Countess of Flanders held at Ghent on 27 April 1744. The folding plate depicts the inauguration ceremony at the Place au Vendredy.
