Elaborate woodcut figural title, initials, diagrams and illustrations, some full-page, woodcut printer’s device on verso of final leaf (lacks D1 and possibly the letterpress title, title trimmed to upper engraved frame, some mainly marginal spotting and staining throughout, a few heavier stains). Contemporary vellum (a little worn, stained), modern box. Provenance: old inscription at foot of title; modern (1909) pencil annotation on front free endpaper.
