Letter to his daughter "Trotty" (Mary French) reads: "Dear Little Girl: Have you forgotten all about papa? Why don't you write to papa? Papa is coming down by and by to see you and Melvin. I hope you have been a good little girl. Your dollie is here and so is your little chair; papa will keep them for you till you come up here to live. Do you want to see papa? Little May Hasbrook and Ethel Hasbrook have gone away with their good mama to see their grandma-way off on the steam cars, and nice Mr. Hasbrook is on the turf like papa, and hasn't got any little girls to buy candy for or any mama to kiss and be nice to. Papa is very lonesome without mama and Trotty and Melvin and Pinny; but pretty soon you will all come and live with papa. This is a picture of papa crying because mama and Trotty and Melvin and Pinny don't come and this is a picture of papa when he is glad because they are coming. Now, I must say goodbye. You, must be good to mama and grandma and Aunt Carrie and Aunt Georgie, and then papa will love you more. I send you a kiss and I hope you will come and see papa. Kiss mama for me and always love your Papa-P.S. There is a ten cent piece enclosed for you." Lot Amendments Condition: Few spots of foxing, very good otherwise. Item number: 208302
