Back with publication date (June 12th 1965), press cutting and artist's name (pencil). Photo size 21×25 cm. Frame size 33×43 cm. Chubby Checker gained world fame, when he released his personal version of Hank Ballard and The Midnighters' “The Twist” in 1960. On September 19th 1960 the song topped the American charts and again on January 13th 1962. This is the only time that a song - in two non-consecutive periods - has reached this position.
This is an original black-and-white press photographs from 1965, which shows a slightly wavy surface, a few surface cracklings and a minor damage and discolouration (under the left arm). Also, the area surrounding Checker's head has been retouched prior to the publication. Back somewhat yellow.
