AN ITALIAN INCISED SLIPWARE ARMORIAL CIRCULAR STAND FIRST QUARTER OF THE 16TH CENTURY, EMILIAN OR TUSCAN The cream slip carved to reveal a terracotta-coloured ground enriched with patches of green and blue glaze, the centre with a coat-of-arms below a beaded raised well, the broad border with tightly woven scrolling foliage, the top of the border pierced for suspension, broken and repaired 17¼ in. (51.5 cm.) diam.
