Mid-19th century Carved in sunken relief with Oniwakamaru, the name of the young Benkei, wrestling and stabbing a huge carp as a sign of his prowess and strength, on the reverse a hora and the sword’s scabbard with a loose rope. The eye of the carp of silver-lined black horn. Peg with a silver fitting and eyelet. Signed Kikugawa saku.
