A Short Sword ( Wakizashi ) Edo period (late 17th century), signed Echizen ju Kozuke (no) kami Fujiwara Kanesada The configuration shinogi-zukuri , iori-mune , torii-zori and chu-gissaki ; ko-itame forging pattern and suguha tempered edge with a ko-maru tip carved on the omote side with a dragon and on the ura side with a vajra ; tang unshorted with katte-sagari file marks and one mekugi-ana ; in black lacquer scabbard, wood hilt 17 3/8in. (44.1cm.) long With a certificate issued by the Nihon Token Hozon Kai (Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Sword), dated 2002.9.8
