By Muzzy & Co. Serial no. 86?. Steel action and triggerguard. Hinged breech cover with dual knurled releases stamped 'MORSE'S PATENT/OCT.20,1856.'. Knurled cocking lever with grip safety. With three interchangeable barrels: 1) .54 caliber 22 in. rifled round carbine barrel with front sight and folding leaf rear sight. Walnut fore-end. 2) 12 gauge 30¾ in. browned damascus three stage round/polygonal/octagonal shotgun barrel stamped on the underside 'UZZY & CO.' and the number '419'. Walnut fore-end. 3) .54 caliber heavy 31 in. rifled octagonal blued barrel with hooded front sight and blued adjustable folding combination rear sight. Stamped on the underside 'MUZZY & CO./CAST-STEEL'. Walnut fore-end. In purple velvet lined brass corner mounted walnut case. The inside lid pasted with two sets of printed paper directions to use the gun. Condition: Fair to good. Action with dark brown patina. The breechface filed down. Hole drilled in left side of frame. No buttstock. The carbine barrel with pitting and corrosion overall. Replaced fore-end. The shotgun barrel with around 80 percent re-browned finish. Light rust and corrosion at muzzle. The rifle barrel with around 70 percent blue re-finish. All fore-ends with minor mars and bruises. The case in fair condition. The exterior with considerable wear and large cracks in lid and base. The lining with some loss and staining. The paper directions with staining and considerable losses. Some damage to compartments.
