A GERMAN TWO-HAND PROCESSIONAL SWORD with flat double-edged waved blade with leather-covered ricasso and two side-lugs each struck on both faces with a maker's mark, the guard incised with conventional foliage and comprising scrolled quillons with large side-ring on each side enclosing a fleur-de-lys, large plummet-shaped segmented pommel (button later) decorated en suite with the guard, and three-stage wooden grip (minor worming), the top and bottom stages covered with textile under metal-wire netting (slight damage) with remains of tassles, early 17th Century 55in. blade
