Beschreibung:

Colt Artillery Single Action revolver with 1883 vintage frame, serial number 96114. Typical of these artillery revolvers, they were rebuilt in the 1890s using original cavalry revolvers; serviceable parts were reassembled and barrels shortened to 5 - 1/2", and subsequently reissued to Army troops in the Philippines at the turn of the century. Other serial numbers on this gun include 9419 on bottom of backstrap, 91906 on trigger guard, "241" assembly marking on loading gate, and 5046 on cylinder. Frame is marked "U.S." on left side and "D.F.C." above frame serial number. 5 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .45 Long Colt with blade front sight. "Doughnut" ejector rod head. 1 piece plain walnut grips with no cartouche present, but appear to be original to the trigger guard and backstrap assembly. CONDITION: Good below, with slight traces of bluing remaining overall in protected areas with gray parts beginning to turn to a brown patina with light pitting throughout. Frame is gray with only the slightest traces of case color remaining with light pitting overall. Grips are very good, strong and original with no discernable cracks and minor wear and still fit well to backstrap and trigger guard assemblies. Action works appropriately. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves. A neat piece of history. -TN- Name Value Accessories Barrel Length 5 - 1/2" Caliber/Bore .45 LC FFL Status Antique Manufacturer Colt Model Artillery Paperwork Serial Number 96114
