(A) COLT 1860 ARMY PERCUSSION REVOLVER.

1863 vintage Colt 1860 Army percussion single action revolver, serial number 139201. 8" round barrel in .44 caliber rifled with German silver blade front sight, single line Colt New York barrel address, and hammer notch rear. Rebated cylinder with naval battle roll die engraved factory cylinder scene. 1-piece plain walnut grips. Matching serial numbers observed on barrel, cylinder arbor, cylinder, frame, trigger guard, and butt. Wedge is numbered 7628. CONDITION: Excellent for its age, with an attractive amount of original bluing mixing with a grey-brown patina with scattered light freckling throughout. Rammer has traces of original case colors. Frame retains bright original case colors and has a small crack on left side near gas shield. Grips are very good, with minor finish loss on high edges and typically handled areas. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with sharp rifling and abrasion throughout from period use with corrosive black powder.
