1862 vintage Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion revolver, serial number 64412. 8" .44 caliber round barrel with single line Colt New York address. 1 piece walnut grips. Matching serial numbers on backstrap, trigger guard, frame, barrel, cylinder pin, and cylinder. Inspector marks include "MM" on left side of barrel, "H" on trigger guard, condemnation marking by stock cut in recoil shield, and interesting "Ø" marking on cylinder. There is an "O" on trigger guard near serial number, indicating that this gun was rejected for military service, then was repaired and sold on the commercial market (ironically enough, the Union ended up buying some of these examples). CONDITION: Very good, with blued and case hardened assemblies turning to a dull gray patina overall with traces of their original finishes in protected areas. Grips are very good as lightly sanded. Trigger guard has been cleaned. Action works correctly and locks tightly. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. -TN- Item Dimensions: 15 x 9" Name Value Accessories Barrel Length 8" Caliber/Bore .44 Percussion FFL Status Antique Manufacturer Colt Model 1860 Army Paperwork Serial Number 64412
