(22.8cm.) sighted barrel stamped 'Whitworth Patent' and numbered '470' on the breech-block, breech-lever (repaired) stamped 'Westley Richards Patent', flat lock stamped 'Westley Richards & Co.' and dated within a triangle, walnut three-quarter stock (minor repairs) with iron lanyard ring on the left side, and brass mounts struck with arsenal numbers, the butt-cap with further iron lanyard ring (iron parts with some pitting), Birmingham proof marks 15in.
