.58 caliber, 40" barrel. Top flat is dated 1863 Left flat with VP and eagle. Lockplate stamped 1863 with eagle and Wm Muir & Co. Windsor Lock, Ct. Provenance: Property of the former First National Bank of Fremont, Indiana Condition: Bore is dirty but could clean to good. All metal surfaces with light salt and pepper pitting and metal has darkened from grey-to- brown. Wood has been cleaned and sanded and shows lots of scratches and mars. One deep bruise by ramrod channel on left side, 6.5" from nosecap. Original ramrod with nice brown color.
