Beschreibung:

Triumph re-entered the 350cc class in 1957 with the introduction of the Twenty One, its first unit-construction model, and quickly followed up with a 500cc version. The latter was first to undergo the ‘sports’ treatment - in the form of the Tiger 100SS - the equivalent 350 not appearing until October 1962 when the Tiger 90 arrived. The ‘baby’ Tiger looked smart and went well too, top speed under favourable conditions being a genuine 90mph. First registered in Sussex, this Tiger 90 was purchased by the current owner in the Northwest of England, having been stored in a shed for some years. The recorded mileage when purchased was 13,666 (believed the genuine total from new) while the current total is 13,940. Its restoration completed in April 2005, the machine retains all its original parts, including rev counter and centre-stand (‘extras’ when new) and Dunlop wheel rims, while benefiting from conversion to unleaded compatibility with appropriately up-rated valves and seats. On completion the machine won 1st Prize at the High Peak, Derbyshire Run in 2005 and comes with rosette, tankard and plaque. Finished in the correct factory colour scheme of Grenadier Red/Alaskan White, it is offered with restoration invoices, current road fund licence, MoT to July 2007 and Swansea V5 registration document.
