1965 MERCEDES-BENZ 220Sb Registration No. FPX 345C Chassis No. 111.010.22.067371 Engine No. 180.940.22.003079 Black with beige interior Right hand drive The Mercedes-Benz 220Sb was introduced in 1959 and produced until 1965. It was the last generation of the 220 series and was only available as a much modernized finback four door saloon. It used a six cylinder overhead camshaft engine of 2,195cc which gave 95bhp at 4,800rpm. This particular automatic version is a perfect example of the dependable family car which the 220 series was designed to cater for. It had one lady owner until 1990 and comes with the original bill of sale. The mileage is a genuine 82,670 and most of the service history of up until around 70,000 miles is available for inspection. It is in full working order with an MoT until June 1994 and may be described as a very sound example. Its only modification from original has been a colour change from brown to the more stylish black.
