1934 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball With Seven Hall Of Famers This 1934 New York Yankee team signed Spalding "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" ball holds 24 bold ink signatures. Ruth's strong signature (8/10) is found on its familiar sweet spot, and Gehrig has signed the opposite panel (7-8/10) slightly overlapping the manufacturer's stamping. The 1934 season was one of Lou's finest as he won the Triple Crown, leading the league in batting with at .363, in home runs with 49 and in RBI with 165. This was the last year he and Babe played together with the Yankees as Ruth would join the Boston Braves the next season. Among the signatures are seven Hall of Famers including; Ruth, Gehrig, Bill Dickey, Lefty Gomez, Burleigh Grimes, Red Ruffing and Joe Sewell (coach); also present are Johnny Allen, Sammy Byrd, Ben Chapman, Frank Crosetti, Myril Hoag, Art Jorgens, Danny MacFayden, Jack Saltzgaver, Red Rolph, Don Heffner, John Broaca, Johnny Murphy, Jimmie DeShong, Dixie Walker and Russ Van Atta. McCarthy and Fletcher are deemed "clubhouse" versions. Signatures average 3-8/10. Ball has some moderate toning and a few darker spots on it including one affecting the Babe Ruth signature.
