ZOLA, ÉMILE AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED ("EMILE ZOLA"), TO AN UNIDENTIFIED RECIPIENT, written on card, thanking him for sending his kind regards during this stormy period, assuring him that he is remaining quite calm, regretting not being free to lunch with him, since his wife is coming to Paris on Sunday, precluding dining that evening; he thanks him for meeting with him the next day at three o'clock and mentioning taking five thousand francs ("...Vous êtes bien gentil de m’envoyer vos amitiés, dans l’orage qui me laisse bien calme d’ailleurs..."), 2 pages, 63 x 103mm, on an engraved visiting card ("Emile Zola, Rue de Bruxelles 21 bis"), [Paris], no place or date Zola resided at Rue de Bruxelles 21bis from 1889 until his death in 1902.
