Ze'ev Raban, two original sketches for Chad Gadya. [Early 1920s]. Ink, pencil and watercolor on paper. Unsigned. Two leaves with initial sketches of medallions (at various stages of work) with scenes of Chad Gadya. Beside the medallions and on the verso of the leaves are several more sketches (figures). Similar medallions appear on the bronze relief of Chad Gadya by Raban, 1914. Stains and creases. Tiny holes and tears. Pencil drawings and scribbles on the sketches. Attached to passe-partout at upper margins.
