Five original sketches by Ze'ev Raban – drawings of pioneers and settlement. Ink, pencil and watercolor on paper. 1. Workers harvesting wheat – ink and watercolor drawing. Titled on the margins "Carmel, Yizrael valley, agricultural settlement and harvesting wheat" (Hebrew). Ink-Stamped "Ze'ev Raban, Industrial Art Studio (formerly Gur-Arieh and Raban), Bezalel, Yerushalem" (Hebrew). Leaf: approx. 20X10 cm. Good condition. Folding marks. Stains. Small tears. Leaf is cut at the corners and restored (with pasted pieces of paper), not affecting drawing. Attached to passé-par-tout at upper corners. 2. Orange-picking – ink and watercolor drawing. Titled on the margins: "Carmel, Sharon valley, planting and orange picking" (Hebrew). Ink-stamped "Ze'ev Raban, Industrial Art Studio (formerly Gur-Arieh and Raban), Bezalel, Yerushalem" (Hebrew). 3. Shepherd and herd of Cows – pencil and watercolor drawing. Ink stamped "Ze'ev Raban, Industrial Art Studio (formerly Gur-Arieh and Raban), Bezalel, Yerushalem" (Hebrew). A primary drawing appears on verso – a different work. Leaf: 25X17 cm. Good condition. Some stains and creases. Numbered "7" on upper right corner. Attached to passé-par-tout at upper corners. 4-5. Two drawings – sketches for doors (?) – ink and color pencils. Ink-stamped "Industrial art studio, M. Gur Aryih and Z. Raban, Bezalel Yerushalem" (Hebrew) and "Ze'ev Raban, Industrial Art Studio (formerly Gur-Arieh and Raban), Bezalel, Yerushalem" (Hebrew). One is titled by hand, at the margins.
