The edges of the canvas are frayed but stable, which is inherent to the artist’s chosen medium and working method. Under extremely close inspection there is a very faint impression of where the canvas has been mounted to the board running intermittently along the edges. Under further very close inspection, there are two scuff marks, one 1 inch in size to left of kitten head, a second 1/2 inch in size above the kitten left ear and a rub mark, approximately ¾ inch in size, running vertically through the right eye of the kitten. All surface irregularities are due to the lack of varnish and in keeping with the artist's working method. Surface irregularities are due to lack of varnish and inherent to artist. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.
