LARGE-PAPER COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, with the words "The End of the First Volume" at the foot of the last page (pasted over in some copies with "The End"). "It was undoubtedly the publisher's first intention to issue a second volume of Wycherley's miscellaneous works in the same form as the volume described above, but for some reason the publication was delayed until 1728, when it appeared in a different form" (Grolier Wither to Prior ).
