WWII Medals. A group of four to Leading Signalman C.R.J. Ellwood, Royal Navy, who served onboard HMS King George V during the sinking of the Bismarck, 1939-1945 Star, Atlantic Star, Defence and War Medals, extremely fine in card box of issue plus transmission slip, together with a wooden box containing related original paperwork, photographs etc., plus a piece of white ensign being flown by the flagship H.M.S. King George V during her battle with the German battleship Bismarck (Ellwood was serving on board during the battle), also a Fordgraph stencil copy of the ship’s movements during the battle, plus certificate of service . P/SX 18482 leading signalman Cecil Richard Joseph Ellwood born in Hastings, Sussex, 1918, joined the Royal Navy 1937, served in various ships including King George V from 26 April 1941 - 20 July 1941.
