WWII Medals. A group of five to Captain D.C. de Villiers, 1st Rhodesian African Rifles Late South African Armoured Corps, Rhodesian Exemplary Service Medal ‘Capt D.C. De Villiers’, Rhodesian Independence Medal ‘Capt D.C. De Villiers’, Italy Star, War Medal, Africa Service Medal both all named ‘613722 D.C. De. Villiers’, mounted for wearing, good very fine, with original paperwork including Record of Service and Warrant plus copied paperwork. Captain Derek Claude de Villiers, served during WWII with South African Armoured Corps (613722, Trooper), post war service with 1st Battalion, Rhodesian African Rifles, commissioned Captain 5.7.1957, de Villiers was one of only 23 non-native Rhodesian soldiers who would have qualified for the Canal Zone clasp.
