WW2 'The Road to Mandalay' Far East Snap Shot Photograph Albums. Comprising two small snap shot photograph albums and a third part album compiled by a Sergeant of the the 472 Battery Royal Artillery, which served with the 2nd Division Burma. The first album contains photographs of the Battery in India 1942, group shots, views etc. The second album contains a number of rare images showing the advance to Mandalay, with images of the 25 Ponnder guns being loaded onto a 'Commando Plane', river crossings, air drops, preparing for action, etc. Plus images of Gukhas etc. The third part album includes photographs taken from a Dead Japanese soldier, Occupation money, aerial leaflet dropped on the Japanese forces.
