Description: WW2 German Cavalry NCO’s Ordnance Pattern Sword by E & F Horster, fine example of the dove head pattern sword with plain brass langet, guard, pommel and back strap. Underside of the cross guard is stamped with Waffenamt stamps, number 2979 and initials of the maker E & F Horster. Housed in its original blackened scabbard with single hanging ring. Plain single edged slightly curved blade with Waffenamt stamp to the edge of the blade. The blade measures 71 ½ cms, overall 88cms. Some paint loss to the scabbard but otherwise a very good example.
