A most interesting collection, Botwright b. 1894, became a wireless operator on board ships of the Anglo-Algerian Line (photographs, Continuous Certificate of Discharge etc., 1915 - 1917). Appointed a Wireless Operator (4th Class) in the Royal Naval Canadian Volunteer Reserve 20.8.1917, his original Warrant dated 15.9.17. Served as such in the Canadian Transport Service 1917 - 1919. Later service with the Ballantine Line until 1922. Later employed by the Royal Naval Stores Depot and Port of London Authority during WW II. His dress cap badges for the Anglo Alergian and Ballantine (?) Lines, Royal Naval Transport and 2 RN Officer's cap badges (1 shown in a photograph), plus his Mercantile Marine Medal and other interesting items including qualification certificates and a Hunting Licence for Canada 1917.
