Final revised text of the Wright brother's experiments published just before their historic first successful manned and motorized flight on 17 December 1903. The first version of this text was originally published in the Journal of the Western Society of Engineers , Chicago: December, 1901. Octavo (227 x 150mm). 16pp., comprising pp.133-148. 4 plates on 2 leaves containing 8 photographic illustrations of the Wrights' early gliders. Original black cloth (spine fractionally faded, extremities faintly rubbed).
