"The name of this plumbing and gas-fitting firm is prominently displayed in three places on its five-story building, in front of which stands a handsome closed cab drawn by two white horses. William Wright and John C. Hunter had been in the plumbing business together since 1837. In 1855 they occupied the building shown in this print, its address changing to 900 Walnut Street in 1857" (Wainwright). Wainwright 471.
