June 8, 97. "CRAN” spring face iron manufactured about 1910 by Wright & Ditson. Patented in 1897, this unusual club has a hollow steel head with steel face riveted to the head. Carruthers hosel (short steel hosel with bore through shaft), tinning (rust protective coating) on head, line scoring on face, stamped "Wright & Ditson" shaft. Lot Amendments Condition: Original leather grip is in good shape with minimal wear and damage; whipping is in excellent condition. The shaft has some damage towards the club head indicative of bag wear. The face has a dent slightly off center, and wear that is typical of a playing club. Item number: 283901
