Cardon mounted as frontispiece on a fly-leaf (one leaf in volume II, pp. 13-14, with clean repaired tear in lower margin, folding engraved plate trimmed at right-hand margin not affecting image, engraved title of volume I creased and lightly dust-soiled, occasional marginal thumbing and light spotting). Contemporary russia gilt, gilt edges (rebacked with most of original spine preserved, a trifle rubbed). Provenance : Sir William Oglander (PRESENTATION INSCRIPTION from the author). FIRST EDITION of Sir Richard Worsley's catalogue of his antiquities which he published at the extraordinary cost of £2,887.4s., excluding binding costs.
