World War I lamp with original slag glass shade. 16.25 in. high. The silvered base features a relief portrait of Woodrow Wilson in a rocky formation with two U.S. soldiers in full combat gear. The metal shade has slag glass panels and a spread eagle finial. The lamp was made by the Phoenix Lamp Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Provenance: Jim and Pat Gifford Collection of Political Americana Condition: Appears to have original wire and socket, so it has not been tested for a standard wall socket.
