Text in German. (4to) varying bindings, most are cloth or cloth-backed paper boards, some in printed wrappers and several bound in folders. These lectures were given by Rudolf Steiner an Austrian philosopher, social reformer, architect, esotericist, and claimed clairvoyant. The collected lectures here were privately printed for students and members of his Anthroposophical Society in its early days and all bear some stamp or sticker to indicate they are not intended for sale to the public. The topics cover a vast array of Steiner's views on art, culture, history, metaphysics, science and philosophy. Due to use by students, many volumes bear underlining & notations in the margins from previous owners. This particular collection appears to have belonged to an Adolf Gross with many of the volumes having his bookplate and/or signature on the title page.
