Updike, on the front paste-downs. Edith Wharton left her library to be divided between Wiliam Tyler and Kenneth Clark in trust for his son Colin. The Colin Clark portion is now at The Mount, Edith Wharton's home in Lenox, Mass; the Tyler portion was destroyed in the bombing of London in 1940.
