.32-40 caliber, 30" heavy octagonal barrel, S/N 81820 (mfg. ca 1898). Blued and color case hardened finish, deluxe fancy walnut buttstock with checkered pistol grip, Winchester hard rubber grip cap, raised cheek rest and extended spur Schuetzen buttplate. Checkered Schnabel forend with contrasting tip inlay and palm rest mount, with rest not present. Schuetzen style spurred triggerguard/lever combination, Vernier tang sight, adjustable globe front sight. Standard two-line Winchester barrel markings, .32-40 caliber marking, patent date information on triggerguard tang with serial number. Condition: Very fine. Barrel retains most of the blued finish with some minor thinning and light wear, receiver with much of the case coloring which has muted and dulled slightly. Clear markings throughout, mechanically functional, fine bore. Stock with some scattered minor bumps, dings and mars.
