William Penn's Treaty with the Indians, when he founded the Province of Pennsylvania in North America, 1681 John Boydell (1719-1804) engraving with handcoloring, 1775, on laid paper laid down on wove, with margins, surface soiling, mat and time staining, several pin-hole sized ink losses in the grouped figures left of center, a 2-in. triangular repaired loss at the upper right margin corner, five old 1-in. repaired tears in the margins, a 3/8-in. tear in the lower margin, pale scattered foxing, soft creasing in places along the plate edge and in the margins, otherwise in good condition, framed P. 19 1/8 x 24 5/8 in. (485 x 625 mm.) S. 20¾ x 26½ in. (527 x 674 mm.)
