"Buffalo Bill" Cody at camp in between performances of his Wild West Show, some of which are identified to productions in Rhode Island and Paris. He appears primarily in performance garb, including tall boots, a fringed jacket, and a wide-brimmed hat. A photograph of Buffalo Bill with a group of Indians and onlookers bears the verso handstamp of V. Gribayedoff, Paris, while an interesting street scene shows him driving a small horse-drawn carriage, with spectators visible at street level and dotting the windows of buildings in the background.
