(1822-1878) An album of views on the Seine and Lowestoft including: Boats at Rouen; The Abbey At Jumièges; A la Mouileraye; Quilleboeuf; Honfleur; Le Havre; Calshot Castle; Cowes; Yarmouth; Lowestoft; the lighthouse at Lowestoft; and Fort Rouge; and An album of views of the English Coast including: Tynemouth; Cullercoats; Filey; Filey Brigg; Margate; Scarborough; Collingswood Monument looking towards the Tyne; Whitby; Ilfracombe; Lanten Hill; the Mumbles; the Mumbles Lighthouse; Swansea from the Mumbles; Monkstone Rock; and Tenby; and An album of thirty-six drawings of Whitby and boats at sea by John Callow most inscribed variously with titles, the first inscribed and dated 'The Seine. Lowestoft/1835' (on the cover) and dated variously 29 May 1835-13 July 1835, the second dated variously 11 July 1864-7 August 1867, the third signed and inscribed 'John Callow/Hellington House/32 Lewisham High Road/London S.E.' (on the inside front cover) and dated variously 17 August 1876-11 August 1877 pencil, some on tinted paper, the majority of the third album on two joined sheets the first 4¼ x 5¼ in. (10.8 x 13.3 cm.); the album 4 3/8 x 5 5/8 in. (11.2 x 14.3 cm.) overall, bound in blue morocco; the second 3 3/8 x 4 7/8 in. (8.6 x 12.4 cm.); the album 3 5/8 x 5 1/8 in. (9.3 x 13 cm.) overall, bound in green morocco; the third 14 x 3 3/8 in. (35.5 x 8.5 cm.); the album 3 5/8 x 7¼ in.
