Text of Gray's poems printed on laid paper from copperplates, using three additional printings to reproduce paper tone and Blake's markings. 16½x12¾, unbound in the French style with wrappers, quarter morocco portfolio and matching box. First Edition. No. 356 of 518 sets. Fine copy of this first publication of Blake's drawings for Gray's poems. Paul Mellon allowed the original drawings to be sent to France for reproduction. Lot Amendments Condition: Two plates with very pale spotting to versos; else very fine. Item number: 154280
