Original limp vellum gilt with yapp fore-edges, design after Charles Ricketts repeated on each upper cover, consisting of two medallions depicting a flying dove to either side of the italic lettering, and a third medallion at foot portraying a star above the waves, flat spines also lettered in italic, top edges gilt, others uncut, largely unopened (two spines with small soil marks). FIRST COLLECTED EDITION, limited to 1080 copies, this ONE OF 80 COPIES ON JAPANESE VELLUM. This fine edition was printed by T. and A. Constable at the Edinburgh University Press. Mason pp. 459-490.
