Provenance : L.S. Johnson (a Whitman friend?, signature on pastedown) on inside front cover; Jerry Colonna (bookplate). Second Edition, with 20 additional poems not in the 1855 edition, one of 1000 copies printed. BAL 21396; Myerson A2.2; Wells & Goldsmith, pp. 5-6: "the book is quite a rarity and is seldom found in good condition."
