Publisher's green paper-covered boards, printed title label to upper cover. 9 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches; [vi], 18, [1] pp.; typed letter signed by the author loosely inserted, vignette title page, 3 mounted photographic illustrations, in-text illustrations printed in green, limitation page. Light wear to extremities, edges of leaves toned. "From a story in Field & Stream magazine. We are breaking the rule of numbering only material with a minimum of 24pp because of the importance and scarcity of this work" (Bruns). With presentation letter dated 1948 to Edwin J. Schloss signed by the author laid in: "Herewith I take pleasure in sending you a little story I have written about my favorite sport in the hope that it may bring you some of the thrill which these experiences brought me."
