Well-preserved breviary of the Friars Minor. Latin manuscript on vellum. France, first half of 15th century. 366 manuscript leaves and 6 printed leaves calendar at beginning (around 1500). Sheet size 17,5 : 13 cm. With 14 large fleuronne initials in red and blue on floral designed ground with dots of gold leaf and tendrils as well as numerous lombards alternating in red and blue. Early 16th cent. blindstamped calf over wooden boards with small rollstamp and 2 clasp-fittings. - The major part with Temporale, Psalter, Commune Sanctorum and Sanctuale consists of 256 leaves, written in textura by fine hand. Than following further breviary text on leaves 257-366 by another hand. - Lacking 5 leaves in different places (mostly blanks). 1 leaf containing few lines with large cut-off (not affecting text), 2 leaves with cut-off at blank lower margin, 1 supplementary leaf on paper inserted on guard, last quire inserted on paper guards at a later date; here and there minor fingerstaining, upper spine end with defective spot. Darauf folgen Ergänzungen von anderer Hand (Bl. 257-366) mit Lobgesängen, Stundengebeten und Textteilen aus dem Psalterium und Sanctorale. Zu Beginn mit einem gedruckten Kalender (um 1500), der vermutlich bei der Bindung mitaufgenommen wurde. Einige Feste in den Monaten Januar, Februar und März sind von zeitgenöss. Hand korrigiert oder ergänzt. - Fehlen in einzelnen Lagen insges. 5 Bll. (darunter vermutlich 3 weiße). - 1 Bl. mit großem Abschnitt (ohne Textverlust), 2 Bll. mit Abschnitt im unt. weißen Rand, 1 Ergänzungsbl. auf Papier angefalzt, letzte Lage neu eingehängt.
