Provenance : Weegee (signature on the title page, and inscription dated '1945' on the dedication page, both in green ink, to:) -- Sally Pepper. FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BY WEEGEE: 'To Sally Pepper, my favourite boss, whose kindness, help and patience, made this book possible, Weegee'. Sally Pepper was picture editor at PM , where Weegee and Lisette Model where regular contributors. An excellent association copy, in a very good example of a later printing of the rare dust-jacket which states 'third large printing' on the front flap.
