The group of dismounted officers are shown in conversation, two facing the viewer and the other facing his fellows. All are shown in full dress 1830 pattern shakos complete with gold lace, drooping horse hair plumes and 'artist's impression' shako plates. One and most probably two of the figures are 13th Light Dragoon officers, blue short tail coatees, white facings and plastron, gold laced boxed epaulettes, gold lace pouch belts, silver faced flap pouch with crowned GR cypher, mid blue overalls with gold lace seams. The front panel of the full dress sabretache is shown on one figure, being the crown over GR over L/XIII/ D. 1822 pattern Light Cavalry Sabres are carried. The third figure wears a 'buttoned over' scarlet coatee with white facings (presumably showing the new scarlet coatee demanded by King William IV), other elements are as for the first pair of figures. All three wear gold and crimson barrel belts. (29.5 x 24.5 cms). All four margins are 'nibbled' or with small missing sections, not affecting the figures. Dry mounted framed and glazed.
